Joey Dixon and Heritage Cares Scramble Golf Tournament Held on Nov 9, 2023 at Cape Fear National Golf Club.

What a day we had at the Joey Dixon Foundation/Heritage Cares 4 man team scramble.  It was a picture perfect day and we had a great turn out of 72 players, a few ringers, and one future PGA Tour hopeful.  From the women players that fielded an awesome team of long drive smashing competitor’s to Joey’s former boss Jeff Waller who is just simply a great player.  It makes you think was he really working all those years or playing golf?  Hmmm?

On the quest for Parkinson’s awareness, we are grateful to be able to spread the message about the disease to a new group of people in hopes that they will in turn help us by word of mouth in getting the message to their friends and families.

We had a silent auction that was a huge success, and we would like to thank all those fine companies that donated items to our cause:

Though we had planned on turning our annual golf event into having golf and fishing, we have indeed decided to stick with what we know at least for now and that is golf.  We are still considering a few properties, but we ask everyone to pencil our event in September of 2024, details are being worked on as we speak including exact dates and location.
